From the age of 11 – 15 I was sexually abused by an older male friend.  He would sometimes do this in public, for example at the local swimming baths, and I felt powerless to do anything about it. He would also make me look at pornography whilst abusing me.  I was so afraid but couldn’t say no due to the fear of what he would then do to me.

All my adult life I have suffered with anxiety, stress, depression, eating disorders and self-harming but I didn’t tell anyone for nearly 30 years.
