I was at home on a Saturday night when someone started to bang and smash the front door of my flat. I thought that the door was going to break so I went to open it. Upon doing so I was violently assaulted with punches, kicks and headbutts. I managed to push my attacker back out into the hallway and attempted to restrain him. He broke free and kicked and punched me to the floor and then continued kicking me for what felt like 10 minutes. Thankfully someone had phoned the police and they arrived and stopped the attack.
