I was one of a large number of children who were sexually abused whilst in a Care Home run by our abuser over a period of more than 20 years. I was taken away from the Home and raped when I was about 14 or 15. I did not report the incident until I saw the police appeal for victims to come forward as part of Operation Pallial in 2012. He was convicted of assaulting me and 18 other boys , as well as 1 girl, although the real number is likely to be much higher.
